newborn pullbacks | dallas newborn photographer

newborn sessions are not easy.  they require traveling to the clients home where you have absolutely no idea what the lighting situation will be like.  they require toting around background stands, bean bags, blankets, hats + a variety of other props.  they require lots of patience.  and it takes time to learn how to properly pose them....something i feel like i am still trying to master.  but seeing posts like this from other photographers has been an enormous help!  i am a visual learner....if i see it, i can do it...or at least attempt it.  lol  i hope this post will be valuable to those who adore newborn sessions as much as i do.

*all images were taken with a canon 40D + 85mm 1.8 with the exception of the pullback images, which were taken with the 24-70mm 2.8Ldallas newborn photographer

josie | houston newborn photographer

this sweet tiny 5 day old was so precious.  she slept the entire session + was so kind to not poop or pee on any of my blankets.  yay josie! if you follow my blog, you might remember josie's big bro from this previous session.  he is such a great big brother + loved giving his baby sister lots of kisses + snuggles while i was over there.  such sweetness!  thank you 'd' family for allowing me to document this precious time in your lives.
